Eveline plays at Basement Bash December 2017

Eveline has played everywhere in Berlin from Bikini Berlin to Kantine am Berghain, they were even the supporting band for Adam Lambert in Germany.

This time on the 6th of December, they will be playing at the last edition of Basement Bash for the year, gracing the line-up with two more female-fronted bands.

With their Debut EP Scared Eveline showed their passion for music and frontwoman Lisa Kögler’s vocal ability that is even better live. We caught up with Eveline to ask them a few questions.

BB: Tell us a little bit about your musical background

Eveline: Jan started playing classical piano at the age of 5. Lisa was dancing for 9 years before she started to actually perform as a singer on stage. Growing up we got familiar with electronic berlin music, so we started combining our further experiences.

BB: How did you come up with the name Eveline ?

Eveline: our names are Jan Eric and Lisa Eveline. What sounds better 😉 ?

BB: How does the songwriting process work for you / in your band?

Eveline: Lisa is writing melodies and lyrics while Jan concentrates on the electronic composition of the songs.

Eveline creates the soundtrack for night and day.

BB: If you had to describe your music to a deaf person, what would you say?

Eveline: Eveline creates the soundtrack for night and day.

BB: Where do you get your inspiration from?

Eveline: Berlin nightlife.

BB: What music do you listen to when you’re touring?

Eveline: We are checking out new releases, listen to our favorite electronic music artists (Nao, Sinead Harnett) and of course to the classics (Oasis, Etta James, John Mayer, Whitney Houston)

BB: What was the last concert you went to?

Eveline: Jungle at Lido Berlin.

BB: What was the nicest compliment you once got?

Eveline: “Your voice is something else.“ – Adam Lambert

BB: Do you prefer to play big festivals / stages or smaller club gigs?

Eveline: Rather a packed small club than a big stage with only a few people in front of it. But to play on a huge festival is probably one of our biggest aims for the future.

BB: Do you see your songs in colour or in black and white?

Eveline: Songs are coloring life, so we definitely see our songs in colour.

Catch them at Basement Bash Marie Antoinette @ 20:30, entry is only 5Euro.
